Aid for Air Wood Funds

ADEME helps you implement relevant and effective actions to reduce fine particulate emissions (PM10 and PM2.5) due to biomass combustion (domestic wood heating and open-air burning of green waste).

Two types of projects are eligible:

1. Feasibility study for an Air Wood Fund

The territories concerned are those targeted by articles L.222-4 and L.222-6-1 of the Environmental Code (territories covered by a PPA and required to implement actions to reduce PM2.5 emissions from wood combustion). The objectives of a feasibility study are as follows:

• Evaluate the relevance of establishing a fund to reduce the impact of domestic wood heating on fine particulate (PM2.5) emissions in the territory.
• If this establishment is relevant, size it (human and financial resources, appliances to be replaced) and plan the most suitable organization for its operation, as well as the main lines of the animation and communication program.
• Study both individual wood heating in the territory (stock, user practices) and practices concerning open-air burning of green waste.
