Develop sustainable mobility adapted to the needs of residents

The European LEADER program, supported by the GAL (Local Action Group) of Pays d'Ancenis, finances innovative operations in its territory, particularly through the strategic axis " Develop sustainable mobility adapted to the needs of residents ".

Pays d'Ancenis, due to its geographical position and socio-economic characteristics, is a territory that generates numerous internal and external home-to-work trips. Furthermore, many residents, due to the rural or peri-urban nature of the territory, are dependent on cars to access essential services. These flows are largely made by individual car, causing problems of road traffic, environmental nuisances, access to employment or isolation in the absence of a vehicle... Pays d'Ancenis must meet the challenge of alternative and innovative mobility, by placing accessibility and proximity at the heart of its development.

Operational objectives:

• Reduce solo driving by developing more environmentally friendly modes of transport in complementarity with mobility organizing authorities
• Experiment and develop alternative mobility adapted to the territory and differentiated according to areas (hamlets, villages, center…
