Study, research, innovate and densify environmental knowledge

The Agency's interventions under this deliberation cover the following areas:

· The acquisition, transfer and valorization of knowledge (general studies, research-development, foresight and innovation) for:

• the operation, management and protection of water resources, aquatic environments,
• the improvement of treatment or the consideration of new forms of pollution by purification processes,
• the water cycle, mitigation and adaptation to climate change,
• the protection of human health for risks related to water or the management of aquatic environments;

• improving the qualitative and quantitative knowledge of surface and groundwater resources, uses and pressures on these resources;
• implementing the WFD surveillance programs (which include surveillance, operational, investigative and additional control networks), and the MSFD;
