The permanent supply of the public drinking water service with water of satisfactory quality and sufficient quantity is a major challenge for the Artois-Picardie Water Agency.
The Artois-Picardie basin has approximately 1,000 active drinking water catchments, almost all of which have a public utility declaration aimed at protection against accidental and punctual pollution.
