Strengthening access and prevention in health

The European LEADER program, supported by the GAL (Local Action Group) of Pays d'Ancenis, finances innovative operations in its territory, particularly through the strategic axis "Strengthening access and prevention in health".

The inhabitants of Pays d'Ancenis experience difficulties in accessing primary care, and the territory must anticipate a medium-term decline in its medical density. Awareness of the need to act actively is shared by health professionals and elected officials, and new initiatives must be encouraged to improve patient care and health prevention, and to develop multi-professional coordination.

Operational objectives:

• Health prevention: combating non-recourse to care, social assistance, and rights, developing and animating a health prevention policy and combating addictions, taking into account the environment and food in the health of populations
• Access to care and health services: strengthening the role of the hospital, attracting and retaining the presence of health professionals and professionals in the health and social sector, reducing the vacancy rate of premises…
