Il Programma congiunto di scienza antincendio (JFSP) del Servizio antincendio selvaggio degli Stati Uniti sta cercando di sollecitare proposte per guidare ed eseguire scambi regionali di scienza antincendio in regioni specifiche per un periodo di due anni. Sono richieste proposte per le seguenti nove regioni del FSEN: Alaska, Appalachi, Great Basin, Nord Atlantico, Northern Rockies, Nord-Ovest, Oak Woodlands, Isole del Pacifico e Sud-Ovest. Sono richieste proposte individuali (cioè, ogni proposta deve essere specifica per una regione) per guidare ed eseguire uno scambio regionale di scienza antincendio nelle regioni specifiche richieste per un periodo di due anni. Il Programma Congiunto di Scienza del Fuoco (JFSP) del Servizio Antincendio Boschivo degli Stati Uniti sta cercando proposte da studenti attuali di master e dottorato iscritti a college o università negli Stati Uniti nel campo degli incendi boschivi e delle scienze fisiche, biologiche e sociali correlate per richiedere un premio Fire Leaders And Managers, Emerging Scientists (FLAMES). Lo scopo di un premio FLAMES è migliorare l'esposizione degli studenti alla rilevanza gestionale e politica della loro ricerca, fornire opportunità di apprendimento esperienziale e di esposizione alle pratiche di gestione degli incendi, e promuovere l'apprendimento tra pari, il tutoraggio e lo sviluppo di carriera. I candidati selezionati dovranno soddisfare i seguenti requisiti del programma durante il periodo del progetto: 1. Completare un progetto di ricerca che integri il piano di tesi o dissertazione attuale dello studente. 2. Acquisire esperienza pratica ed esposizione ai professionisti degli incendi boschivi, attraverso la partecipazione a incendi prescritti, incendi boschivi o altre attività relative alla gestione degli incendi (attività di gestione pertinenti all'area di competenza dello studente). 3. Partecipare a riunioni virtuali regolarmente programmate organizzate dal JFSP, progettate per costruire una coorte di studenti, condividere informazioni e introdurre gli studenti a opportunità di formazione e coinvolgimento. 4.
