Modern agricultural biotechnology such as genome editing is a revolutionary tool that could transform the sustainability and viability of the agriculture sector. American farmers rely on agricultural biotechnology products, with over 90% of corn and soybeans derived from these technologies. In 2025, American farmers exported over $51 billion in agricultural biotechnology products worldwide. However, the biotechnology policies of many trading partners in Europe, Africa, Western Hemisphere (Latin America), and Asia limit the trading potential for American agricultural biotechnology products. Additionally, many trading partners lack regulatory frameworks for the development, commercialization, and trade of animal biotechnology products, which limits U.S. innovation and economic development. The absence of a trade-facilitative system slows the potential of these innovative products which are already in active development. This NOFO is intended to support activities that promote the America First policy agenda by expanding market access for U.S. agricultural products derived from biotechnology through the removal of barriers to the adoption, use, and trade of these products. Targeted engagement with trading partners and relevant stakeholders is critical to U.S. agricultural exports, and this funding opportunity supports efforts to protect and expand American agricultural production and trade. The recipient of this award will collaborate with USDA/FAS in the design and implementation of in-person and/or virtual seminars, workshops, and collaborative training events in Africa, Asia, Western Hemisphere/Latin America/Americas and other relevant economic bodies and organizations such as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the African Union, the European Union, and others. These activities seek to support high level policy dialogue on agricultural biotechnology. USDA/FAS will work with the recipient on the selection of workshop venues, and the selection of participants to include country/government officials, scientists, key speakers and stakeholders. In addition, USDA/FAS and the recipient will collaboratively identify methods to evaluate the participants’ increase in knowledge on biotechnology topics.

The U.S. Department of State announces an open competition to deliver in-person, specialized English language teacher training and direct student instruction aligned with priority sectors such as space, critical minerals, rare earths, energy, high technology, business and trade, agriculture, media, and security. As U.S. engagement with Uzbekistan increases, English proficiency has become a strategic asset — enabling business and trade professionals, government officials, journalists, security personnel, agribusiness practitioners, and technology specialists to engage directly with Americans, access English-language resources, and generate opportunities that advance U.S. commercial and strategic interests. A shortage of highly proficient English teachers in Uzbekistan limits learners' access to functional, sector-specific English instruction. This program addresses that gap by training teachers to deliver specialized language instruction while simultaneously providing direct instruction to students and emerging professionals in key sectors. Program activities will promote enhanced knowledge of American culture and entrepreneurial spirit alongside language gains, equipping participants to more effectively engage with and operate within U.S. professional environments. The bulk of activities will be delivered in person. Funded programs will run for no more than two years and will produce measurable gains in English proficiency across priority professional communities.

The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) is the component of the U.S. Department of Justice responsible for advancing the practice of community policing and the Administration’s priority of Making America Safe Again by supporting the nation’s state, local, territorial and Tribal law enforcement agencies through information and grant resources. This is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the FY26 Community Policing Development: Microgrants Program. Community Policing Development (CPD): Microgrants program funds are used to fund demonstration or pilot projects to be implemented by local, state, tribal, and territorial law enforcement agencies to increase their capacity to implement innovative or evidence-based projects that improve officer and public safety. These projects should offer creative ideas to advance crime fighting, increase organizational effectiveness, and promote community safety. Applicants are invited to propose demonstration or pilot projects in one of eleven areas: -Preventing and investigating domestic terrorism -Violent crime enforcement and investigations -Gang violence enforcement and investigations -Detecting and investigating human trafficking -Investigating and interrupting child exploitation -Vagrancy and squatting -Immigration and border security -Investigating and interrupting opioid and drug markets -Officer recruitment, hiring, and retention -Unmanned aerial systems -Investigating and interrupting cybercrime The COPS Office encourages agencies to propose partnerships with other law enforcement entities through taskforces and other formal operational arrangements to address the chosen area of focus, as well as with relevant stakeholders. The COPS Office also encourages agencies to consider including evaluation components appropriate to the type of activities proposed. Applicants should explain in their application how their approach addresses a specific public safety need or gap in services. Applicants may submit multiple applications but must submit a separate application for each project. Any applicant that selects the incorrect category may not pass the basic minimum requirement phase of the review process. See the Eligible Applicants section for eligibility details.
