Support the opening of mobility data

Regulation (EU) No 2017/1926 of May 31, 2017, on the provision of multimodal travel information services throughout the Union, defines the rules for data opening. This regulation requires each Member State to create a National Access Point (NAP) that references all mobility data necessary for informing travelers in the territory. Decree 2020-183 of February 28, 2020, published in the Official Journal on March 1, designates the transport.data.gouv.fr platform as the National Access Point (NAP) for multimodal information data.

The National Access Point aims to make traveler information on all available modes of transport accessible on as many digital platforms as possible, through data opening, thereby facilitating user travel, promoting intermodality, and combating the omnipresence of individual cars.
It is intended for data producers (local authorities, transport companies, etc.) and data re-users (developers, route calculation applications like Mappy, information services, etc.).
