Support energy sobriety and encourage the production of new energies

Context:
The Vitryat region has strong assets for the development of energy transition, such as significant production of renewable energies, adapted infrastructure, and strong political commitment. Opportunities, such as ongoing certifications and action plans, as well as the potential for job creation in the energy transition, strengthen development prospects.
The strategy proposes, in a territory where individual cars are the main mode of transport and fossil fuels are the majority energy source, to reduce these dependencies by promoting decarbonized mobility and developing renewable energies. As the diagnosis points out, it will be necessary to work on the thermal rehabilitation of the built environment, a source of significant energy loss, and to help develop new sectors.
Regarding the themes mentioned, local actors have identified the following challenges:
- energy management by reducing and optimizing consumption
- the development of ENR
- the fight against energy poverty and the reduction of nuisances related to mobility (GHG and noise)
