The SIEEEN, a solidarity energy union, since 1946

The Intercommunal Union for Energy, Equipment, and Environment of the Nièvre (SIEEEN) is a public inter-municipal cooperation establishment. It provides its expertise to the communities of the Nièvre department and their residents. A flexible mixed union, the SIEEEN is composed of municipalities, closed mixed unions, communities of municipalities, and the Departmental Council of the Nièvre. In addition to its three main areas of expertise, namely energy, equipment, and environment, the SIEEEN offers an additional competence related to e-administration of competences: energy; e-administration; equipment and environment.

Created in 1946 to complete the electrification of the department, the SIEEEN has diversified its activities over the years. It offers a wide range of solutions in architecture, public lighting, equipment, waste management, renewable energies, and information and communication technologies. A recognized player in sustainable development in the Nièvre, the Union deploys various expertise to help the territory succeed in its energy, ecological, and digital transition.
