Support for diagnostic and project support studies for a methanization plant

To verify the feasibility of your project, ADEME helps you to carry out a diagnostic study or a feasibility study, by providing you with several model specifications and by providing financial aid.

Methanization (a process of biological digestion of organic matter in the absence of oxygen producing biogas and digestate) allows for:

• the treatment of organic waste and its return to the soil;
• the production of renewable energy;
• the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The biogas produced can then be recovered and sold in different forms (heat, injection, bioCNG...).

For about ten years, France has chosen to promote the development of a methanization sector mainly based on the local treatment of livestock effluents, biowaste, crop by-products and unrecovered waste.
