Assistance in the realization of an Intercommunal Pastoral Occupation Plan

The POPI (Intercommunal Pastoral Occupation Plan) is designed as a consultation tool aimed at boosting pastoralism at the inter-municipal level. This plan aims to give more visibility to pastoralism (mapping of pastoral territories, individual farmer profiles, action plan) while strengthening its economic, social, and territorial weight.

The first step of the POPI is the realization, in the form of individual surveys, of a precise inventory of the farms and pastoral territories of each farmer in the communes (local or transhumant farmer), the periods of use, the management methods, and the main constraints of each farm. The second step of the POPI aims to develop an Intercommunal Pastoral Charter through significant consultation work with local elected officials, on the one hand, and thematic workshops with elected officials, farmers, and technical partners involved in the territory, on the other hand.

The POPI will define the stakes and develop specific actions as well as a pastoral action plan (aiming to synthesize the actions for each stake by prioritizing them, proposing partners, and defining the necessary means to be committed).
