Aid in the restoration of the cultural heritage of municipalities or their groupings

As part of its policy dedicated to cultural heritage, the Department supports the realization of restoration and maintenance work on movable or immovable objects whose management and operation are directly incumbent on municipalities or their groupings and whose heritage and historical interest is recognized by the State (inscription or classification), as well as for preliminary studies related to these operations:

• the aid rate defined in the regulations for local projects is applied,
• by derogation from Part I of the RU, there is no expenditure floor,
• the eligible expenditure retained by the Department will be that which the State will have used for the calculation of its own subsidy,
• eligible expenditure ceiling: no ceiling.

The Department limits its support to one subsidy per municipality or grouping of municipalities per year, except in cases of emergency related to safety attested by the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs or the Architect of Bâtiments de France, and within the limits of the credits allocated.
