Helping social and solidarity economy (SSE) businesses

The territorial pact "Aude 2030" makes the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) a major issue for the economic development of Aude, a source of non-relocatable job preservation and new entrepreneurship, where the human being remains at the heart of the project.

SSE, through its founding values (primacy of people and social purpose over capital; voluntary and open membership, democratic management, indivisible equity, collective appropriation of surpluses, solidarity and responsibility, social utility of products and services), is no longer a so-called "alternative" economy but an economy durably rooted in our territories.

The ambition of the Aude Department is indeed to place employment at the heart of economic dynamics and to integrate the notion of solidarity with the imperatives of production and profitability.

• The General Council of Aude aims to:
• support entrepreneurial renewal by modernizing the statutes of SSE businesses and developing their financing
• empower citizens and employees to contribute to maintaining economic activity in the territories and fighting against job losses
• revitalize rural areas and neighborhoods where social needs have considerably increased with the crisis.
