Developing Multimodal Exchange Hubs (PEM) in sparsely populated areas and medium-sized towns (training)

Description

Multimodal exchange hubs are developing in low and medium-density areas. Whether railway or road hubs, they are sources of innovation for communities. They aim to bring together different mobility services in a strategic location within the territory, making them particularly visible in these areas. With the AOM competence acquisition by inter-municipal communities, many of them are seeking to implement mobility services and structure them through the development of "small" exchange hubs. This training aims to educate communities on the fundamentals necessary for developing these exchange hubs in the territory: where to locate them, what services to include, what developments to plan? Educational objectives: Define the challenges of an exchange hub according to the territorial context Identify the stakeholders to involve in an exchange hub project and their involvement in the projects Understand the principles of development and operation of an exchange hub in sparsely populated areas Understand the principle of the design thinking method and its relevance for exchange hub projects
