American Legion Child Well-being Foundation Grants

Description

This program awards grants to nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations for projects and research that contribute to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual welfare of children and youth. Projects must benefit children nationally or in a large geographic area within the United States, its territories, and possessions.

Eligible beneficiaries

• Nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations
• Projects must benefit the welfare of children and youth physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually
• Projects must have the potential to help children nationally or at least in a large geographic area
• Projects must be completed between January 1 - December 31 of the award year
• Funds must be used within one calendar year
• Projects must directly benefit children of the United States, its territories, and its possessions
• Projects must not be for regular or day-to-day operating expenses
• Projects must not be for consultant salaries or fees
• Projects must not be for brick-and-mortar construction
• Projects must not be used to match government funds
• Projects must not defray school expenses for masters or doctoral candidates for degree research
• Projects must not seek to create or reproduce materials or mediums not in English
