Provide regional financial support for the operation of Regional Natural Parks but also for the implementation of certain operations falling under their charter

As a member of the mixed management unions, the Pays de la Loire Region provides financial assistance for the operation of Regional Natural Parks (statutory participation) but also for the implementation of certain operations falling under their charter (subsidies for annual action programs) and focusing on regional environmental priorities, namely:

• biodiversity, natural environments and landscapes,
• renewable energies,
• environmental education and sustainable development,
• preservation of water resources within a watershed logic.

Regional support for Regional Natural Parks is provided within the framework of a three-year Park Contract. An implementing financial agreement, based on this Park Contract, specifies the conditions for implementing the regional funding granted for the annual action program.

To achieve joint objectives, the Regional Natural Parks and the Region commit to a fluid partnership, based on regular, trusting and transparent exchanges. The terms of implementation of this partnership are specified in the park contracts.
