Learn how to conduct a Cerema Certified Mobility Survey (EMC²) - Training

DESCRIPTION:

Household travel surveys have been informing public policies since the late 1970s.
Initially designed for dense areas of large conurbations (EMD), the surveys were adapted for medium-sized cities (Medium-Sized City Travel Survey – EDVM) and peri-urban areas (Large Territory Travel Survey – EDGT).

Today, these methods have been harmonized into a single one: the Cerema certified mobility survey (EMC2). With its modular methodology, it adapts to the needs of territories and expands its fields of knowledge construction. It continues to be widely carried out by communities that need to update their planning indicators and/or their multimodal traffic forecasting models.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the module, trainees should be able to:

• Determine the cases for which it is advisable to carry out an EMC2 and what they are used for
• Describe the steps of a survey to plan one.
