Support mountain communities subject to emerging risks

Ecological ambition of the funded project

Climate change is accelerating the transformation of mountain areas and increasing risks to people and property. In response, the Green Fund contributes to the protection of populations in mountain communities by enabling these territories to be well prepared for risks and by reducing the vulnerability of people and property. The objective is that all identified at-risk mountain sites are monitored, studied, or treated.

The funded project must improve knowledge of natural risks in mountains and high mountains and their evolution, and contribute to the implementation of appropriate prevention/protection measures for populations.
