Benefit from support following natural disasters

Objective: To assist municipalities in undertaking repair work for damage caused by exceptional natural disasters, recognized by interministerial decree, on public installations or equipment.

Eligible projects and expenses:

• Damage caused by natural disasters to public property and buildings.
• Work carried out by companies, purchase of materials/supplies.

An aid per municipality and per exceptional event recognized by the natural disaster decree. As a derogation and for exceptionally large-scale disasters, regional aid may be uncapped. For the implementation of this scheme, an intervention fund is specially established entitled "Exceptional fund for aid to municipalities affected by natural disasters", within the limit of €1 million per year. This scheme is complementary to the various existing aids for municipalities, particularly that for investments by rural municipalities.

Applications will be received on a rolling basis. All requests must be the subject of a letter of intent and the submission of an aid application file (to be downloaded) including:

• The decree classifying the event as a natural disaster,
• An estimate – quote – for the planned repair work,
