Benefit from technical and methodological engineering to engage projects

FINISTERE INGENIERIE ASSISTANCE (FIA) is a local public engineering establishment created in 2014 on the initiative of the Departmental Council to respond to an issue of solidarity towards all Finistère territories.

Indeed, it aims to provide local authorities suffering from a lack of human resources and expertise with technical and methodological support in the conduct of their projects related to the following themes:

• mobility and use of roads and public spaces
• buildings and equipment,
• spatial planning and housing,
• revitalization of town centers,
• water and sanitation.

FIA's intervention takes place in the pre-operational phase, from the launch of a reflection around a project, and allows the contracting authority to benefit from support to:

• verify the relevance and feasibility of its project;
• ensure the project is consistent with its environment and the local context in which it is situated;
• define and specify its order to a project manager, if applicable;
• organize itself in terms of conducting an operation or a global approach;
• identify possible funding sources for the project.
