Benefit from the skills of a young graduate (VTA)

The territorial volunteering in administration (VTA) allows rural local authorities to benefit from the skills of young graduates for a mission of 12 to 18 months maximum, serving the engineering of their projects.

Created in 2021, the Territorial Volunteering in Administration is aimed at local authorities in rural areas, whether they are inter-municipal cooperation establishments or communes. Countries, PETR and PNR can also hire VTAs, especially if they participate in the development of recovery and ecological transition contracts (CRTE). More exceptionally, structures carrying shared positions on behalf of several communities may benefit from the scheme.

VTAs are intended to support rural areas, to bring out their development projects and help them acquire engineering tools adapted to their needs. In particular, they help local actors mobilize recovery plan funding.

The State will help the local authority in its recruitment with a lump sum aid of 15,000 euros to finance the recruitment, whether it is for 12 or 18 months. 800 VTAs will have been helped by the end of 2022.
