Co-financing projects for the acquisition and restoration of national heritage (ARPIN)

What is the National Heritage Acquisition and Restoration (ARPIN) aid scheme?

ARPIN grants enable the Ministry of Culture (Directorate General of Media and Cultural Industries) to better support the actions of local authorities by offering them a co-financing mechanism for the most remarkable acquisition or restoration projects.

Operations supported under ARPIN may concern one of the following two areas:

• Acquisition of heritage of national interest;
• Restoration of heritage of national interest.

Grant amount

The maximum aid rate, including any other aid paid by the Ministry of Culture (DRAC grants), is set at 80% of the total ex-tax amount.

Grant award procedures

The grant is paid in a single installment.

• If the region has a FRRAB: it will be paid by the DRAC concerned within 3 months of the file being accepted.
• If the region does not have a FRRAB: it will be paid directly by the Ministry of Culture within 3 months of the file being accepted.
