Cover expenses incurred by LAGs for animation and operation of their local development strategy after the selection date of applications

Local development strategies require high-performing engineering whose support is essential to meet the requirements issued by LEADER.

Direct costs

• related to the management of the strategy implementation, which include staff costs (gross salaries, travel, accommodation/catering);
• training;
• communication costs;
• acquisition of small equipment and gear;
• financial costs as well as costs related to the monitoring and evaluation of the strategy.

Indirect costs related to the operation (flat rate of 15% on eligible direct staff costs in accordance with Article 68 of Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013).

A lower public aid rate may be set by the LAG. The maximum share of operating and animation costs in the total public expenditure incurred in the framework of the implementation of the local development strategy led by local actors is set at 25%, in accordance with Article 35(2) of Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013.
