Request funding for studies to reduce the environmental impacts of products/diets and implement corresponding projects

Food has significant impacts on water, soil and air quality, GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions, water consumption, but also on biodiversity and deforestation.

Most of these impacts occur at the agricultural production stage, which can be optimized, as can other stages of the food chain (logistics, transport, processing, packaging, distribution, consumption). Demand (diets, types of products consumed) has a significant effect on the impacts of all upstream actors.

A diagnostic or support study makes it possible to assess the current state of the system and to determine the feasibility of an alternative solution.

In this evolving field, a study also makes it possible to meet the needs for acquiring or deepening knowledge of food systems (impact studies, socio-economic issues related to sustainable food, positive or negative externalities, characterization of practices, costs, etc.).

ADEME can help you finance this study with a grant covering up to 80% of its cost.
