Industrial and Territorial Ecology (EIT) aims to optimize resources (materials, energy, water but also premises, equipment, expertise, etc.) at a territorial scale, whether through substitution synergies (one of my co-products becomes a raw material for the neighboring company) or mutualization (accounting expertise shared between several companies).
ADEME supports local authorities and business groups wishing to embark on an EIT approach by co-financing a prefiguration study to determine the conditions for implementing the approach. The objective of this prefiguration study is to clearly define the stakes and characteristics of the territory, by identifying the various actors involved and analyzing strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
This study can be co-financed up to 80% of its amount, whether it is carried out by the applicant internally or through the support of a consulting firm or service provider.
