Develop fishing ports

The European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) aims to support the sustainable development of fisheries, aquaculture, marketing and processing. The Pays de la Loire Region is an intermediate body for the implementation of the regional measures of the EMFAF 2021-2027 national program open in its territory.

The Vendée Department contributes to the implementation of the EMFAF National Program in its territory by providing financial support to mobilize EMFAF.

The Department intervenes in actions to:

• Support investments in the physical infrastructure of fishing ports and fish markets to address issues of improving working conditions, improving product quality and sanitary conditions, better management of discharges, waste and co-products, reducing the impact of port activities on the environment...
• Support the development of renewable energy systems or the improvement of the energy efficiency of infrastructures as well as the improvement of processes and organizational systems.
• Improve product traceability, including the development of IT tools and digital equipment.
