Disseminate contemporary art by organizing exhibitions, residencies, events, and festivals

Given the richness of contemporary art in the region, but also the fragilities identified in this sector, the Occitanie Region has wished to make it a strong axis of its regional Culture and Heritage policy. Also, the Region drives, facilitates, and supports initiatives whose purpose is to bring contemporary art closer to everyone with a qualitative ambition and a desire for regional influence.

The projects supported by the Region must allow for:

• a network across the regional territory;
• equal access for the public to culture;
• support and assistance for professional artists living and working in the regional territory;
• strengthening regional cooperation around major or innovative artistic projects;
• the realization of projects with regional, national, or international reach.

Amount of aid:

The amount of aid is defined according to the dimension of the project.

As part of its new cultural policy and to help mobilize European funding in the culture and heritage sector, any structure selected under the scheme may be awarded complementary aid for the implementation of a project participating in a European program.
