Being supported in the treatment of brownfields

The Établissement public foncier d'Occitanie intervenes in public interest projects to ensure tailor-made land action, without claiming any remuneration for its action. It can:

• support the local authority in the design and feasibility study (technical, economic and legal) of its project;
• acquire, at the request and on behalf of the local authority, the properties necessary for the future realization of the project, then hold them until the start of the project before transferring them to the local authority or directly to the operator responsible for its implementation.
  

The treatment of brownfields is an important issue for the Occitanie region. They represent real development opportunities for local authorities.

The Établissement public foncier d'Occitanie is a partner in calls for projects and calls for expressions of interest launched by the State and the Regional Council in this area. Thus, it can intervene on the issue of brownfields and neglected spaces.
