Supporting small rural municipalities located in mountain areas for winter road maintenance investments

The winter road maintenance envelope can finance snow removal services and the acquisition of equipment related to winter road maintenance.

This tool from the solidarity fund for municipalities with fewer than 1,000 inhabitants (DGF 2022 population) located in mountain areas is reserved for investment expenses related to the acquisition of equipment. EPCIs having all or part of the communal road competence will not be able to benefit from it. It is proposed that the municipalities concerned submit only one application per year.

Prioritization and arbitration will be carried out by the Departmental Executive and projects eligible for this envelope will be submitted for approval to the Permanent Commission after informing the departmental councilors.
