Facilitate the use of unconventional water and the reuse of treated wastewater

The reuse of treated wastewater (REUT) applies to treated wastewater from collective urban wastewater treatment plants.

Any REUT project falls within the quantitative objectives for low water flows of watercourses and must be technically and economically relevant as a substitute for withdrawals from the natural environment, and associated with measures aimed at reducing water consumption.

The use of unconventional water (RENC) applies to types of water other than those directly from a withdrawal from the natural resource and possibly subject to appropriate treatment for the intended use.
