Introduce young people and their families to heritage sites, their history, and their collections through artistic practice

The discovery and familiarization of children and adolescents with culture involves the discovery of heritage and artistic practice. The Ministry of Culture supports these actions by allocating a grant to project leaders within the framework of the call for projects "C'est mon patrimoine !" (It's my heritage!).

What is the "C'est mon patrimoine !" operation?

Launched in 2005 by the Ministry of Culture ("Les Portes du temps"), the "C'est mon patrimoine !" operation contributes to the emancipation of young people through arts and culture and is based on the three pillars of artistic and cultural education (EAC):

• encounter with artists and works,
• knowledge of arts and heritage
• and artistic practice.

This operation is intended to be part of contractualized territorial projects. It encourages new artistic and cultural practices (urban walks, photo, video, radio reports, use of video games as a mediation tool, for example).

The "C'est mon patrimoine !" scheme is coordinated, at the national level, by the General Delegation for Transmission, Territories and Cultural Democracy (DG2TDC) of the Ministry of Culture and the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion (ANCT).
