Promoting young people's access to higher education regardless of their socio-cultural background, by giving them the keys to successfully engage in excellence programs

This scheme, initiated by the Ministry of National Education, aims to promote young people's access to higher education regardless of their socio-cultural background, by giving them the keys to successfully engage in excellence programs. They are based on partnerships between higher education institutions and high schools or colleges, mainly located in priority urban policy areas or rural areas, and result in actions to help with orientation, tutoring, preparation for entry into selective programs, and social and cultural openness with the aim of educational success.

Eligible beneficiaries for a regional subsidy are:

• Higher education institutions (universities, high schools with post-baccalaureate training, and Grandes Écoles) acting as lead institutions;
• Operators (research organizations, associations) acting as delegates on behalf of a lead institution.

A partnership agreement (2023-2027) between the State (Regional Prefecture for the urban policy component and the two Rectorates for the National Education component) and the Region was approved in March 2023.
It provides for possible participation of the Region targeted at "Cordées de la réussite" projects including high school students, with particular attention to projects whose themes meet the priorities…
