Promoting the presence of an artist or an artistic team in a cultural venue and on a territory

Unlike creation residencies usually supported by cultural structures, these artistic and cultural residencies do not entail a production obligation. This is a period where artists have the opportunity to develop a research or experimentation approach in connection with the territory where the host structure is located. Residencies take place over a period of 6 months to 3 years. This residency period must allow for better anchoring of artistic work in a territorial reality. This support scheme aims to:

• support artistic experimentation and research,
• improve the working environment for professionals,
• promote exchange between the population and artists, particularly through new forms of encounters.
