Fostering economic development and employment

Since 2010, the region has been undergoing a profound transformation of its economic fabric. It relied on agricultural production recognized by industrialists, diversified automotive and agri-food subcontracting units, and a tertiary sector mainly focused on health and public life.

The economic revitalization experience carried out within the framework of the Fonds National d'Aménagement et de Développement du Territoire (FNADT) scheme has just concluded with a very positive outcome of 500 jobs created. The agricultural and agri-food foresight initiative will generate new sector dynamics. Local artisans and traders wish to work in networks, provide new services, and open up complementarities in the face of urban development.
