Promoting actions in favor of cycling

Today, the adaptation of territories to the challenges of climate change is pushing the Department of Eure-et-Loir to mobilize local actors to strengthen the resilience of spaces and human activities. This is why the Department wishes to facilitate the emergence of local projects by mobilizing technical and financial means adapted to the expectations of the territories on themes related to ecological transition (restoration and preservation of natural and aquatic environments, planting of vegetation, management of rainwater) and soft mobility (departmental plan for walking and hiking routes, development of cycling mobility).

The department of Eure-et-Loir adopted its first cycling master plan on March 27, 2023, which takes into account the challenges of daily cycling and cycle tourism. In this strategy, the Department commits over the next 10 years to implement actions aimed at securing cycling routes through cycling facilities, developing cycling ecosystem services, and promoting daily cycling.
