NATURE OF THE AID

Work to create flat or embankment hedges

The departmental council's aid policy for hedge creation is as follows:

• creation of flat hedges: flat-rate subsidy of 2.80 €/linear meter (ml), i.e., 50% of the average cost observed for this type of work;
• creation of embankment hedges: flat-rate subsidy of 10€/linear meter, i.e., 80% of the average cost observed for this type of work.

Minimum threshold for projects of 100 ml, except for embankment hedges if the operation is carried out as part of a global erosion control project at the scale of a watershed or sub-watershed.

Planting projects located within urbanized areas are not eligible for departmental aid.

The work is carried out by approved companies within the framework of the bocage planting quality charter (list available from the Chambre d'agriculture de la Manche).

HOW TO BENEFIT FROM THE AID

• assembly of the file by the chamber of agriculture - afforestation department: 02.33.06.49.91;
