Funding for public lighting modernization and reduction of light pollution

The Region supports communities ready to contribute to the creation of the dark sky network, which aims to protect nocturnal biodiversity.

The Region subsidizes the removal of luminaires and the installation of outdoor lighting promoting the safety of travel, people and property in public spaces.

The project leads to at least a 66% reduction in public lighting energy consumption in the renovated area. The color temperature of the installed luminaires is less than or equal to 2,700 Kelvins.

Projects included in the implementation of a public lighting master plan enabling the establishment of the dark sky network are prioritized .

In the case of public lighting modernization works, the scheme depends on the energy consumption reduction factor:
