Funding for river maintenance and restoration

NATURE OF THE AID

Maintenance of watercourses, facilities facilitating the free movement of migratory fish, studies related to the development of aquatic environments, river warden positions.

HOW TO BENEFIT FROM THE AID

The departmental council's aid policy for the maintenance of river courses and the development of watercourses is as follows:

• maintenance of watercourses: 20% of the ex-tax amount of the works (dredging not taken into account),
• development facilitating the free movement of migratory fish: 2% of the ex-tax amount of the works.

Dam removal is not eligible for aid.

• studies related to the knowledge and development of aquatic environments: 10% of the ex-tax amount of the study,
• river positions: 25% of the ex-tax amount of the initial investment (capped at 4000 € of subsidy) - only for sectors not previously provided with river technicians.
