Funding for waste heat recovery projects

The regional framework for renewable heat and cold aims to support the initiation of renewable heat and cold and recovery projects, as well as their implementation. To achieve the objectives of the Climate Plan, it concerns heat and cold production projects using the following renewable and recovery energies (EnR&R):

• Recovery heat ("waste" heat from wastewater or industrial processes, for example)

The Region's financial support is not systematic. It is assessed by the Region based on an analysis of the projects' projected profitability and their technical and environmental quality, on the basis of the project's economic model and return on investment period. The project leader will endeavor to demonstrate the impact of public intervention on the project's return on investment period. The granting of the subsidy will be subject to a vote by the Regional Council or its standing committee.

All interventions can notably be financed within the framework of the Contrat d’Avenir, in synergy with ADEME's Fonds Chaleur.

Businesses and industries, local authorities, public establishments, associations and social landlords.
