To facilitate the acquisition of agricultural land, agricultural land ownership is an increasingly popular solution. The Banque des Territoires invests in innovative schemes aimed at the acquisition, preservation and medium/long-term ownership of agricultural land.

It intervenes in an intermediated way and in addition to other sources of financing in dedicated funds with the technical expertise of impact investment funds, local public companies (EPL) or ESS land companies.

Eligible projects are those rooted in one or more territories, which are part of a local public will for agricultural land intervention or within the framework of structuring partnerships and aiming at:

• the transfer of farms to a new generation of farmers (especially outside the family framework);
• or the transition to more sustainable agricultural activities (organic farming production, low-carbon label, agroecology, etc.).
