Financing your investment budgets

The AFL is the only French bank 100% owned by French local authorities and 100% dedicated to them, regardless of their size or geographical location.

Created in 2013 on the initiative of associations of elected officials and pioneering local authorities, based on the model of Scandinavian financing agencies, it has been operational since 2015.

Its purpose:

• "To embody responsible finance, to strengthen the capacity of local communities, in order to meet the present and future needs of their inhabitants"

Its mission:

• To support local public investment by offering local authorities access to financial resources, under the best conditions and with complete transparency: local authorities, EPT, syndicates, and soon other local public establishments.

Its specificities:

• The AFL is based on principles of solidarity and equity between local authorities
• The AFL is committed to a corporate social responsibility (CSR) approach and launched its first sustainable bond in July 2020.
