Managing natural and technological risks

The The Hauts-de-France Region is exposed to multiple natural risks: floods, ground movements, presence of cavities or risks specific to the coastline. In addition, the industrial past of Hauts-de-France has left a number of sites presenting technological (SEVESO perimeters) and mining risks. The Hauts de France Public Land Establishment is therefore called upon to intervene to control land exposed to these risks, deconstruct the most exposed properties and re-naturalize the acquired areas. The establishment also supports communities in mobilizing dedicated financial mechanisms.

Eligible projects

Sites classified as at risk are eligible upon request from local authorities, the Regional Directorate for Environment, Planning and Housing (DREAL) and companies concerned by technological risks.

• Demolition and deconstruction works
• Renaturation

Amount of aid:

• Engineering covered at 100%
• Up to 80% of the cost of studies
• Up to 80% of the cost of the works operation
