Investing to strengthen the dynamic of hybrid places

The health and social crisis linked to COVID has amplified a movement regarding the reorganization of work in our society, bringing together various trends: a rethought home-work link, a reaffirmed search for meaning (quality of life at work, collaborative and creative practices) and a claimed search for savings (time saving, increased purchasing power).

Today, a need to work differently is emerging. Not everywhere (sectors of activity are unevenly affected), not for everyone (depending on functions, professions), but increasingly so... especially among young workers and/or young families.

For the Pays de l’Isle en Périgord, the aim is to encourage the creation of lively places, rooted in the territory (in connection with revitalization projects and thus avoiding a “rootless effect”) that accompany these changes, by offering a diversified offer (size, operation, services, public, etc.) of Third Places, capable of attracting:
• workers lacking space and connections (entrepreneurs, freelancers, small businesses, but also employees of “Parisian” companies)
• but also creators, artisans, artists,
• and SSE projects (Test shop, new services, etc.)
• inter-associative collective projects, …
• projects presenting solidarity practices, ...
