Mastering the "noise pollution" component in road transport infrastructure projects - Deepening (Training)

Description:

Road noise is the primary source of nuisance cited by French people in their homes. The Conseil National du Bruit (CNB) and the Agence de la Transition écologique (ADEME) published in July 2021 a new evaluation of the social cost of noise in France, which indicates that noise from road transport infrastructure represents a cost of more than 80 billion euros per year.

Noise emitted by road transport infrastructure falls within an old regulatory framework; however, the Autorité environnementale (Ae) regularly points out shortcomings in acoustic studies, which can directly impact the quality of life of residents near these projects.

This training, offered in two modules, will help you better understand the obligations of road managers, conduct an acoustic impact study, and more broadly understand the articulation of the different axes of the noise control policy: Strategic Noise Maps, Road Noise Classification, resolution of Noise Black Spots, and protection of residents.
