Eating local in high school cafeterias

Support public high school catering services in their responsible practices of local and quality purchasing and in raising young people's awareness of the food-health link.

The Region implements its "Eat Local" policy in public high schools by supporting them in relocated and responsible practices, offering menus based on quality and local products, and raising young people's awareness of the link between food and health.
The Region had set itself the objective of aiming for 100% French products, 50% regional, and 20% organic and other quality labels. The results are encouraging, as 80% of products come from France, 41% from the regional territory, and 15% are organic in 2019.
Since the EGALIM law, the Region has adapted its criteria by maintaining localization (100% France and 50% Region) and quality (50% including 20% organic).
