Conduct studies or make investments on capillary freight railway lines and their branched terminal facilities - CAPFRET

This scheme is consistent with regional strategic orientations regarding the maintenance and development of jobs in areas prioritized by the rurality pact, and more broadly regarding sustainable development by avoiding the transfer of freight traffic from rail to road.

Beneficiaries:

For preliminary studies for the creation or modification of a Branched Terminal Installation on UIC 7-9 SV, the beneficiary can be:

• SNCF Réseau;
• local authorities or their groupings;
• consular chambers;
• public establishments;
• associations;
• open mixed syndicates;
• public port companies.

For investments:

1- If the railway infrastructure is part of the National Railway Network (RFN), the beneficiary is SNCF Réseau.

2- If the railway infrastructure is entrusted to a third-party manager other than SNCF Réseau, the beneficiary can be (non-exhaustive list):

• local authorities or their groupings;
• consular chambers;
• public establishments;
• associations (e.g., free syndicate association, etc.);
