Nature 2050 is a national action program led by CDC Biodiversité and the Nature 2050 Fund, aiming to co-finance the implementation of nature-based solutions (NBS) that will contribute by 2050 to achieving the following objectives: * preserve and restore biodiversity to strengthen the dynamic stability and resilience of natural and anthropized ecosystems, and thus the maintenance of ecosystem services; * mitigate climate change by strengthening CO2 storage or capture capacities; * and adapt territories to these changes, notably by limiting their effects (e.g., urban heat islands) and natural risks (landslides, erosion, floods, droughts, fires, marine submersion...). These nature-based solutions promote the maintenance of ecosystem services and strengthen the resilience and socioeconomic viability of human activities and territories through the following five action targets: * Marine and coastal ecosystems * Wetlands * Agricultural and forest transitions * Ecological continuities * Biodiversity in cities The program was launched by CDC Biodiversité, a private company with a mission and a subsidiary of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations group. It is also supported by the Nature 2050 Fund; a fund of...
