Implementing an energy master plan

Local authorities are key players in achieving energy transition objectives. They are at the heart of the transition process through their decisions concerning energy, but also planning, urban development, mobility, waste and water management, all intimately linked themes.

Their actions must notably be based on relevant and informed energy choices, to develop a low-carbon local energy mix. These choices must take into account the potential for renewable energy development as well as scenarios for the evolution of different uses present in the territories.

The Energy Master Plan is an essential tool for coordinating these actions, targeting energy production, consumption and distribution.
