Setting up a shelter at a school bus stop

The Région des Pays de la Loire, as the Organizing Authority for Mobilities (AOM), is responsible for the organization and operation of school transport for students, which it may delegate to certain authorities.

Furthermore, this competence falls by right to other organizing authorities in certain situations, particularly for specific transport perimeters or when the journey takes place 100% within another AOM.

Numerous stops dot the region, frequented by students using school transport. Local authorities or groups of local authorities sometimes wish to equip these stops with shelters to improve student comfort. The Region's competence in school transport does not include the competence for the construction and maintenance of urban furniture elements at these stops. However, the Region wishes to support projects carried out by local authorities for the implementation of this type of equipment.
